Belize City, Belize, May 15 2019, Hand in Hand Ministries took seven of our students to Belize to build a home for a homeless family in only 4 days and in constant 90-100 degree weather???

I asked Lylric, one of our Belize interns, to share one thing she learned from her travel internship.

Lylric said she grew an appreciation for what she has in America after seeing first hand, the lifestyle of a developing country.

Our students worked together with the homeless family to build their new home. Before, the family lived under their grandpa's home, getting wet due to Belize's six-month-long, rainy season which caused their baby to develope a respiratory problem.

Help not only students like Lylric to have a once in a lifetime experience here:
but also help house another homeless family in need.

Thank you!

Kentucky families all look different but each one needs love and support. Raising kids is tough, and we can get so overwhelmed with day to day tasks that we sometimes forget to take care of
ourselves. Reach out to a parent or caregiver in your neighborhood to let them know they are not alone and that they are doing a great job! Offering a little reassurance can turn that person’s day around. Be sure follow our partners at the Kosair Charities Face It Movement for parent and
caregiver inspiration, child safety tips, and much more.
